Grand Prix - CHOP-CHOP 2.0_BEEF

(MAD STARS) 2018. 9. 17. 13:30

Ammeloo

Title : CHOP-CHOP 2.0_BEEF

Brand : Ammeloo Chef's Edition Knife Series

Agency : Amber China

Having been successful last year in making its presence in China as everyone’s preferred kitchenware brand, Ammeloo was determined to uphold its position in an ever-competitive market with another captivating ad. Our knife had all the qualities needed to give users an unparalleled cutting experience. Consumers had to stop sacrificing quality for price when buying a knife in China’s swamp of low quality kitchenware brands, especially when a knife was the most important tool in a Chinese kitchen.

We decided to express how fast and easy an Ammeloo knife could chop up meat, only this time we conveyed the sensation in a way consumers had never seen before. We meticulously crafted a cow, a pig and a goat using blocks. This simple technique spontaneously captured the sheer sensation of chopping up meat into pieces efficiently fast- even before the animals realised it.

The campaign was released on the 25th October 2017, where the ads were displayed in lightboxes at three busy metro stations in Shanghai: Longyang Road, Middle Huaihai Road and People’s Square. With an average ridership of 19,437 people per station every day, the ads had an average viewership of approximately 1.7m. We also ran the campaign in China’s home and living magazine, Rayli Jiaju (3 insertions) (circulation of 600,000) and cooking magazine Betty Bossi (3 insertions) (circulation of 225,000).

The unusual but impressive depiction of each animal formed by blocks instantly projected the sensation we wanted our consumers to feel: fast and easy chopping. But there was something peculiar about the visuals, which lured them in for a closer look. They were amused by each animal unwary it had been chopped up into pieces- driving the point that an Ammeloo knife was so efficiently sharp in yet, another memorable way.
